Corona’s crisis is worsening in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2021-22. Glenn Maxwell, the Australian team’s star all-rounder, has been found to be Corona positive, according to the Melbourne Stars. Melbourne Stars defeated Melbourne Renegades on Monday, after which team captain Maxwell tested positive for Corona in a Rapid Antigen Test. Maxwell is in isolation awaiting the results of his RT PCR test. So far, the Melbourne Stars have been found to be Corona positive in 12 players and eight staff members.
Meanwhile, the good news for the Melbourne Stars is that the seven-day mandatory isolation period for ten players, including Adam Zampa, Marcus Stoinis, and Nathan Coulter-Nile, will be completed by the next match. The mandatory isolation period for these players will end in the next two days, and they will all be available for selection for the team’s next match.
The Melbourne Stars haven’t had a particularly successful BBL season so far, having played eight games and winning only three of them. The Melbourne Stars are in seventh place out of eight teams. The Melbourne Stars will play the Adelaide Strikers next. This match will take place on January 7th.
