BCCI gives break to Kohli and Pant, will not play Sri Lanka series either

The BCCI has given former India captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant a break. Pant will also be absent from the Sri Lankan T20I series. Both of them have returned home. Kohli and Pant have been given a ten-day break. In the second T20, both players scored magnificent half-centuries, ensuring Team India’s victory.

Kohli will also miss the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka, which begins on February 24, according to reports on Friday. The first episode of this series will air in Lucknow. The remaining two matches will be held in Dharamsala on the 26th and 27th of February.

Bio Bubble will give players breaks from time to time.

“Kohli went to his house on Saturday morning,” a senior BCCI official said. The series has already been won by India. The BCCI had decided that regular players in all formats would be given breaks from the bio bubble on a regular basis in order to manage their workload and mental health.

Let us remind you that Kohli scored a brilliant half-century in the second match against the West Indies. Pant, on the other hand, had scored 52 runs in 28 balls. In the second match, Rishabh was named man of the match.

The T20 series will begin on February 24.

The schedule for the T20 and Test series between Team India and Sri Lanka has already been released by the BCCI. The Sri Lankan team’s tour will begin on February 24 in Lucknow, with the first T20 match. The two-match Test series will begin on March 4 in Mohali. Virat Kohli, the former captain, will play his 100th Test match in Mohali.

Will Rohit become the Test captain?

In a statement, a BCCI official stated that selectors, players, and coaches all want Rohit Sharma to lead the Test team as well. He had previously stated that the official announcement of Rohit’s appointment as Test captain would be made following the team’s selection for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka. In ODI and T20 formats, Hitman is already the captain of Team India. Kohli can only play his 100th test match under Rohit’s captaincy.
