BTS member: RM and Jin test positive for Covid-19

BTS members RM and Jin have been found positive for Covid-19, Big Hit Music has confirmed. The diagnosis comes just a few days after another band member Suga confirmed that she was positive for Covid-19.

In their announcement, which was published on Weverse the agency disclosed that RM did not show any symptoms. But, Jin has shown mild signs. Big Hit Music also confirmed that members of the BTS members haven’t been in contact since their return from the US following their concerts and tours.

BTS member RM Jin and Jin have been diagnosed as having COVID-19 in the evening of December 25.

When he returned on Friday the 17th of to the United States following his personal schedule for the official vacation, RM immediately underwent PCR testingand was found not to be positive and placed into self-quarantine at his home, as required by COVID-19’s control protocols. However, he went through PCR tests this morning prior to the planned release from quarantine, and was confirmed to be positive for COVID-19. He has not yet displayed any specific signs.

Jin was back in Korea on the morning of December 6, and was subjected to PCR testing right after his return, and then again prior to the self-quarantine ended and was found to be in both instances to be negative. But, after experiencing flu-like symptoms in the afternoon, he was subjected to PCR tests and was diagnosed with COVID-19 later in the evening. The patient is experiencing mild symptoms, including mild fever and is receiving treatment at home.

RM as well as Jin both received their COVID-19 vaccines in the latter part of August. Both are receiving self-treatment at home, according to the guidelines of their health authorities. The pair did not have any contact with other patients following returning to Korea.

RM and Jin together with Suga J-Hope Jimin, V and Jungkook were in the US in the month of March, in which they not only were on stage in the American Music Awards and appeared on the Late Late Night Show With James Corden but also hosted their four-day Permission to Dance Stage and Jungkook in LA.

After the show, Big Hit had announced that the group was having a break from their work. When Jin, Jimin and Jungkook returned to South Korea shortly after the concert was over, V and J-Hope holidayed in Hawaii and RM and Suga were on their own travel plans.
