Coach Rahul Dravid’s reply to Wriddhiman Saha

The Indian cricket board has made a number of difficult decisions in relation to the Test series against Sri Lanka. Four of the team’s senior players have been released. Ishant Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane are the players to watch. In the series, these four seasoned players will not be seen. After being dropped from the team on Sunday, wicket-keeper batsman Saha targeted Team India’s coach. Coach Rahul Dravid had asked him to retire, he had said. Coach Dravid has now reacted to Saha’s claims.

Saha is someone I admire greatly.

‘I am not at all saddened by what Saha said,’ Dravid said in a press conference after the third T20 against West Indies. I admire Wriddhiman and his accomplishments, as well as his contribution to Indian cricket. My exchange with him was crystal clear. I didn’t want the media to tell him this.

We will only play three Test matches this year. Rishabh Pant has made a strong impression on the team. Another young wicketkeeper must now be developed. It’s not because I’ve changed my mind about Saha’s contribution or my admiration for him.

Players are disappointed if they are not chosen for the team.

“Even now, when we select the playing XI, we talk to all the players who are not selected,” Dravid said of Saha’s allegations. He is depressed. It’s quite common. Everything in my team, I believe, should be crystal clear.

I talk to players like this all the time.

‘I keep having such conversations with my players,’ Dravid continued in the press conference about Saha. I’m not upset about it because I don’t expect him to agree with or like everything I say. It does not imply that you will refrain from engaging in such conversation or refrain from acting in such a manner.

Saha is replaced by KS Bharat.

Wriddhiman Saha’s playing XI for the South Africa series is running out. During the three-match Test series in South Africa, he did not play a single match. Rishabh Pant took over the responsibility of keeping the team together in place of Saha. In place of Saha, young KS Bharat has been called up to the team for the series against Sri Lanka.

Bharat has a long history of success in domestic cricket and can bat anywhere in the order. Saha’s most recent appearance for Team India was against New Zealand.

What exactly was Saha’s accusation?

‘I am not participating in the Ranji Trophy this year because I have been told that my name will no longer be considered for Team India,’ Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman said after being removed from the team. Coach Dravid has also suggested that I retire.

Ganguly made a promise he didn’t intend to keep.

Former India captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly was also a target for Saha. According to Saha, Ganguly assured him that his place in Team India would not be jeopardised. Dada congratulated Saha by sending him a message after he scored an unbeaten 61 in the Test match against New Zealand in Kanpur while on pain medication.

According to Saha, Ganguly told him that he does not need to worry about anything as long as he is the president of the BCCI. After hearing such a talk from the board president, Saha’s confidence had skyrocketed, but now he says he doesn’t understand how everything has changed so quickly. He was given a false promise.
