Hollywood star trolls in China on program related to Tibet

On Chinese social media, he is being heavily trolled over the news that Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves will be attending the Tibet House US benefit concert. Chinese social media users are also campaigning for Keanu’s recently released film The Matrix Resurrection (Matrix-4) to fail in China, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This has also harmed his film’s commercial prospects. The Matrix Resurrection did a business of 56 crores in China before the news of joining the concert, but this business was reduced to only 360 million after the news. The 35th annual ceremony will take place on March 3 at Tibet House, with Keanu Reeves and Patti Smith, Trey Anastasio, Jason Isbell, and Iggy Pop expected to attend.

Keanu, on the other hand, has yet to make an official statement. Many Hollywood stars have already been barred from speaking about human rights or meeting the Dalai Lama in China. Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Bon Jovi, Björk, Bob Dylan, and Richard Gere are among them.
