India defeated Australia by 96 runs in the semi-final of the Under-19 World Cup

In the Under-19 World Cup semi-final, India defeated Australia by 96 runs. Team India will now face England in the final on Saturday, February 5th. For the fifth time, India has a chance to win the World Cup. The team has previously won World Cups in 2000, 2008, 2012, and 2018. Yash Dhul, the Indian captain, scored 110 runs in the semi-final, while Sheikh Rashid scored 94 runs. Apart from that, Dinesh Bana, India’s wicket-keeper batsman, scored an unbeaten 20 off four balls. On all four balls, he hit the boundary. There were two fours and two sixes in the deck. He was the first batsman in the history of international cricket (men’s, women’s, and under-19) to hit a boundary off every ball he faced while bowling four or more deliveries.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, India lost both openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Harnoor Singh for 37 runs. Sheikh Rashid and Yash Dhul then put on a 204-run stand for the third wicket. Dhul scored 110 runs, while Rashid added 94.

Sheikh Rashid has 191 runs in three games so far in this tournament. During the group stage, he became infected with the corona virus after the first match against South Africa. However, he went on to pitch a fantastic innings after that. While returning from the Corona match against Bangladesh, he and Angkrish had laid the groundwork for victory. He pitched 26 runs in a short but crucial inning. After that, India pulled it out of the quagmire with the help of the dust against Australia.

The Indian team, led by Yash Dhul, won the World Cup by defeating their opponents on the field and Corona outside. Captain Yash Dhul, like Rashid, was infected with the corona. However, he did not let it affect his performance on the field, scoring a brilliant century in crucial matches such as the semi-finals. Dhul had previously returned to the pavilion after defeating Bangladesh in the quarter-final. On 20 runs, he remained unbeaten.

In three matches, he has scored 212 runs at an average of 106. His strike rate was 89.83 during this time. He jumped joyfully onto the field after scoring a century. Yash Dhul has been dubbed “one of the best captains and batsmen of his generation.”
