IPL auction final list: 590 players to be bid

The IPL mega auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. The BCCI released a list of 590 players who will be auctioned off on Tuesday. There will be 355 uncapped players and 228 capped players among these players. In this two-day mega auction, ten teams will compete. Players from seven associate countries will also be auctioned off at the same time. The auction will feature 370 Indian players and 220 international players.

This year’s tournament will be devoid of many major players. Chris Gayle, the legendary West Indian cricketer, has not entered the auction. At the same time, Mitchell Starc of Australia, Sam Curran of England, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer of England, Joe Root of England, and Chris Woakes of England have not entered their names into the auction.

At the base price of 2 crores, 48 players have placed their bets. Twenty players have placed themselves in the base price of 1.5 crores at the same time. If we consider the base price of 1 crore, this list contains the names of 34 players.

A total of 33 players were retained.

For the IPL 2022 season, 33 players have been retained. A total of 27 players have been retained by eight teams. At the same time, two new IPL teams have recruited six new players. Lucknow has signed KL Rahul and his team for a fee of 17 crores.

He has also become the most expensive player in IPL history as a result of this. From the 2018 to 2021 season, former RCB captain Virat Kohli was paid only 17 crores. KL has also been named captain of Lucknow’s team.

The first big IPL auction will take place after the year 2018. The IPL 2018 Mega Auction featured a total of eight teams. The auction will feature ten teams this time. A total of Rs 338 crore was spent on 33 players by ten teams.

Apart from Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan, and Suresh Raina are among the Indian players with a base price of 2 crores. At the same time, there are big names like Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Mark Wood, Trent Boult, and Faf du Plessis among the international players, in addition to David Warner, Kagiso Rabada, and Dwayne Bravo.

West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Rahul Chahar, Aaron Finch, Eoin Morgan, and Jimmy Neesham are among the 1.5 crore names on the list. Kuldeep Yadav, a Chinese national, has been assigned a base price of 1 crore. This list also includes Mohammad Nabi and Wanindu Hasaranga.
