Robin was born on February 20, 1988, to Monica, an accountant, and Ronald, a warehouse supervisor. When Rihanna Fanti was 14 years old, her parents divorced. Rihanna’s life had a significant impact on the simple family, leading to the divorce of the parents. Following her parents’ divorce, Rihanna moved in with her father.
His father was a heavy drinker, and as a result, he used to berate Rihanna a lot. Rihanna was bullied in school as well because of her dark skin. Rihanna complained of a headache as a result of this. Rihanna began singing in order to alleviate her discomfort. Meanwhile, she landed an audition with producer Evan Rogers when she was 15 years old. This was the turning point in her life, and she went on to become a global popstar.
‘When she entered the room, it was as if the two other girls in the room didn’t exist,’ Rogers said once of the incident when Rihanna came to the audition. She was the only one on the other side of the fence.
What happened after that was Rihanna’s relocation to Connecticut. Rogers and his wife were my neighbours. She shot four songs here and then became an overnight sensation. Rihanna claims that once she left Barbados, she couldn’t go back.
