Los Angeles: “Spider-Man: The Last Way Home’ on Sunday became the first film from the pandemic period to surpass one billion dollars at worldwide box office, following 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’.

The third film of the trilogy directed by Tom Holland has achieved this feat despite the encroaching timeframe of Omicron and the Covid-19 surge all across North America and Europe, and yet to be released in the world’s biggest cinema-goer’s marketplace, China, according to the ‘Variety’.

It’s also the year’s highest-grossing movie, soaring past China’s ‘The War at Lake Changjin’ ($902 million) and the 25th James Bond film (and Daniel Craig’s final film as the 007)”No Time To Die’ which made $774 million across the globe.
