Stock Market: Sensex rose 250 points as soon as it opened
The domestic stock market opened higher on Tuesday, despite mixed global market signals. The Sensex, India’s stock market index, opened 286 points higher at 57,879 points. At the same time, the NSE Nifty opened with a 52.90-point gain at 17,274 points. Ultratech Cements, Asian Paints, and Maruti saw the biggest gains in the early trade on the Sensex.
On the Sensex, these stocks increased in value.

These stocks were down in early trading.
In early trade on the Sensex, shares of Dr Reddy’s, ITC, Tata Steel, NTPC, and TCS were trading with red marks.

The Sensex closed at 57,593.49, up 231.29 points, or 0.40 percent, in the previous session. Similarly, the NSE Nifty ended the day at 17,222 points, up 69 points, or 0.40 percent. On Monday, 18 of the 30 companies on the Sensex ended the day with gains, while 12 ended the day with losses.
