T20 World Cup 2022 Schedule: India's first match against Pakistan

The schedule for the T20 World Cup 2022, which will be held in Australia, has been released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). India’s first match is once again against Pakistan. India’s first match in the 2021 T20 World Cup was against Pakistan. On October 23, 2022, these two teams will meet for the first time. Following that, Team India will face South Africa and Bangladesh. In the group stage, India will play a total of five matches. Pakistan and South Africa, in particular, could pose a serious threat to India. Apart from that, the rest of the matches are between teams that are slightly weaker.

Bangladesh’s team, on the other hand, has always been adept at making ups and downs. In such a situation, India will have to exercise caution when dealing with Bangladesh. The winning teams in the qualifier round will play the remaining two matches. Both of these matches should be easy for India to win.

Two teams in India’s group are currently unfilled, and the winners of the qualifier round will be given the opportunity to play in this group. However, given the ICC fixtures, it’s possible that Namibia and the West Indies’ teams will be included in India’s group. Team India may be forced to play its final match against the West Indies in this situation. If this occurs, Team India will have to be cautious in this match as well.

There will be no changes to the tournament schedule.

The ICC has not changed the tournament’s schedule, and all of the teams have been divided into two groups this time as well. Six teams from each group will face off, with the top two teams in each group earning a spot in the semi-finals. Pakistan and South Africa, in addition to Team India in India’s group, are strong contenders to advance from the group stage. Only two of these teams, however, will advance to the semi-finals.
