The Kashmir Files created history: Record business of 19 crores on the 8th day

On its eighth day, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has surpassed the $100 million mark. On the eighth day, the film grossed Rs 19.15 crores. The film, which was released on March 11, has grossed 116.45 crores at the box office so far. If trade pundits are to be believed, the film will gross 150 crores by Sunday, owing to the film’s high advance booking. The film has surpassed Aamir Khan’s Dangal in the box office. On the eighth day, Dangal had earned 18.59 crores.

The pace of The Kashmir Files was not slowed by even Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey, which was released on March 18. On the other hand, this film provided stiff competition for Bachchan Pandey, with the film grossing only 13.25 crores on its opening day. The popularity of The Kashmir Files is such that on the eighth day, the film was shown on 4,000 screens, up from 650 on the first day.

On the eighth day, the film grossed Rs 19.15 crore.

Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst, posted on social media that the film had made a box office collection of Rs 19.15 crore on its eighth day in India. The film had previously earned 18.05 crores on the seventh day, 19.05 crores on the sixth day (Wednesday), 18 crores on the fifth day (Tuesday), 15.05 crores on the fourth day (Monday), 15.10 crores on the third day (Sunday), 8.50 crores on the second day (Saturday), and Rs 3.55 crore on the first day (Friday).
